  • Hamley Bridge Tournament for Wasleys

The Hamley Bridge tournament was played on a perfect day for bowls, sun shining, temperature in high 20s, good greens and 24 teams of four filling the greens

It was very well organised - they were able to cover what tournament organizers dread, a team missing arrive because of car problems, by calling on the chef and other club helpers (they were playing my team in the first game so we really appreciated it)

Roger McQuire at Hamley Bridge had done a wonderful job finding sponsors so that. Everything needed for the day was donated including the beer.

The nett result for the day was a contribution to the Wasleys Bowling Club of $8603.00 , a remarkable achievement for a tournament with 100 players. There was a $10 per head spider which raised over $300, and many raffle prizes, some of which were donated back and then auctioned.

Here a a few photos from the day
