Printing Score Cards ( notes from Geoff)

  • To print Score Cards you will need some blank cards measuring 85mm by 135mm. As a trial you may like to purchase a ream of 250gsm paper and cut the cards yourself. You will get 500 cards out of a ream costing about $17.00.Another option is to buy 4,000 250 gsm Nordset paper trimmed to 85X135 from Canberra Printing for about $130.00. Phone 02 6280 6925 ( or find a local source)
  • When printing be careful to program the printer to print only the cards required. Ie. If 26 Teams playing set it to print from 1 to 26.
  • Initially you may have to make adjustments to your printer settings. Unfortunately I can't eliminate this problem as every printer is different.
  • NOTE FROM BOB TUCK. I have found that the large photocopier printers do not feed card well. At my club we have a low cost cannon bubblejet which we use exclusively for card printing

  • The Silver Bullet

IT HAS ARRIVED. A file designed to do away with paddle pop sticks, bingo numbers, bits of paper etc. used presently to select teams randomly. Once the names have been entered in the attached file it will select teams in your choice of Singles, Pairs, Triples or Fours and transfer the names to score cards ready for printing. From the time you enter the last players name till you have the score cards completed is less than 10 minutes and with no handwriting

    CLUB WEEKLY SOCIAL GAMES

    WINNERS AND LOSERS(two game)
This type of game is probably the most often played social day across Australia

This file is designed for a Winners and Losers Tournament over two rounds. 1st Game Winners play 1st Game Winners and 1st Game Losers play 1st Game losers in the 2nd Game. Full Rink Draws and automatic Score Card printing available for each level of entries from 42 down to 12 Teams. A Result Sheet is also included.

The program presumes that you have 3 greens of 7 rinks with rinks numbered 1 to 21, but you can easily change the numbers used after the macro has done the draw for you. For theae games the names are not printed on the cards and you will do a blind draw just before starting time. The cards are set out for fours, but you could use it unchanged for triple and pairs
